Department: Design Department
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
(Flexible- may require some evenings and weekends)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associates or Bachelors degree with major in Design or related field, or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience with HTML/CSS required
• Responsive Design experience required
• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress is preferred
• Experience with design tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar platforms
• Ability to ideate, prototype, and develop website designs using HTML or WordPress
• Openness to learning and grow skills on the job
• Strong graphic design skills, with a solid understanding of layout, visual hierarchy, and branding.
• Comfort with user testing and incorporating feedback to refine designs.
• Understanding of accessibility standards, basic SEO principles, and familiarity with web analytics tool
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs
• High level of responsive customer service skills
• Ability to work under deadline pressure

DESCRIPTION:
The Interactive Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, creating, developing and maintaining visually appealing, user-friendly websites and interactive applications for Sandhills products and customers. This position collaborates with Sandhills customers to understand their needs and propose and present design concepts and options which align with their business goals. The Interactive Designer must have the ability to deliver engaging user experience across multiple platforms on web or mobile devices. The Designer is expected to complete work efficiently and accurately to serve as many customers as possible while also using creative skills to help meet goals. Members of the Interactive Design team are adaptable and always learning with evolving trends, tools and best practices.
The Designer must be proficient with programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Dreamweaver. Experience with HTML, CSS and responsive design are required. Attention to detail and accuracy are a must. Ability to work with and effectively communicate with customers and fellow staff members is required. Assume other duties as assigned.
