Job description

SUMMARY The Revenue Clerk is responsible for processing general revenues and tax revenues into the accounting software. The Revenue Clerk will also be responsible for entering and tracking all tax refunds. And serve as back for receipting revenue, processing deposits, and printing manual checks.

The Clerk will occasionally sell and process Hunting, Fishing and Dog Licenses. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process Revenues in AP and Cash Management Systems. Manage the refund of County property tax refunds from Board of Assessment notification to final payment.

Manage the process for issuing interim County real estate tax bills for prior years that resulted from court ordered settlements. Manage and process PILOT payments. Manage and process the escrowing of taxes paid in protest.

Assist the receipting clerk in researching credits. Act as back up for the Receipting Clerk on occasion. Assist the Assistant Deputy as needed.

Act as back up for the Licensing clerk on occasion. Participate in Office outreach activities as needed. Provide excellent constituent services.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School diploma. 1-3 years' customer service and bookkeeping experience preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word as well as web-based processes Must have basic math skills.
