We welcome individuals who are highly curious to molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases and highly motivated and committed to explorative mechanistic research. Common molecular and cellular techniques are required, including molecular cloning, mutagenesis, cell culture and transfection, and immunoblotting.
Experience on recombinant protein expression and pull-down assays would be beneficial. Candidates familiar with various microscope imaging techniques especially immunofluorescence microscopy are highly encouraged to apply. The project also involves proteomics studies, as well as investigating disease phenotype in established mouse models using MRI imaging and histological analyses.
This lab is affiliated with the Mayo Clinic Translational PKD Center and closely collaborates with its world-renown PKD researchers and physicians. Succeeding candidate will have full access to research tools and the state-of-the-art technical services available at the PKD Center, including
patient samples and disease models that can be used for pre-clinical studies if promising drug targets are defined.
