Data runs on STACK.THE POSITION:The Vice President, Enterprise Security serves as STACK's senior security leader responsible for protecting the company's people, critical infrastructure, operations, executives, customers, and reputation across the Americas. This leader will establish and lead a scalable enterprise security program supporting corporate offices, operational data centers, construction sites, executive activities, and corporate events. The Vice President will build the organization, establish governance, influence executive decision-making, and ensure security capabilities evolve in alignment with STACK's rapid growth. Cyber and information security remain with IT, but the Vice President will coordinate at that boundary.The successful candidate in this role will bring a strong background in security strategy and management, and will build and grow a high-performing security team across a portfolio of operating data centers, construction sites, and office locations. In addition, this role will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure events are properly evaluated for security risks and controls are put in place to ensure safe and successful execution. Executive security, threat assessment and travel risk management will also fall under the leadership of the Vice President, Enterprise Security.The successful candidate will feel confident overseeing and advancing physical security technology while establishing and updating processes and methods. A team player, the Vice President, Enterprise Security will engage across the organization and with external vendors, general contractors and partners to identify security risks and then coordinate and implement appropriate risk control measure. This candidate will foster a culture of security awareness through communication, education, and partnership across all business functions.STACK operates as a member of the communities that host its sites and its neighbors are partners. The Vice President builds a program that protects people and property while strengthening those community relationships. The program focuses on genuine threats to the safety of people and property and does not treat lawful community engagement, public participation, or peaceful expression as security concerns. It is led with the sophistication to keep security proportionate, privacy-respecting, and never a burden on the communities STACK serves.RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as the executive advisor to senior leadership on enterprise security risks, emerging threats, and strategic security investments.Present security strategy, performance metrics, and enterprise risk updates to Executive Leadership.Own the physical security of STACKโ€™s corporate offices, operational data centers, and construction sites, including the advisory relationship with general contractors and verification of contractor security plans on the construction side.Establish governance, policies, standards, performance metrics, and continuous improvement processes.Develop the enterprise roadmap for physical security technologies, including access control, video security, visitor management, and emerging security solutions.Participate in vulnerability and risk assessments with the accountability to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.Lead enterprise response to significant security incidents, investigations, and executive-level threat situations.Support customer security reviews, audits, and due diligence activitiesDefine a strategy and work with third-party security providers so that protective intelligence, assessment, and executive protection plans are effective proportionate, lawful, and respectful of privacy and civil liberties.Collaborate with key STACK stakeholders and clients to evaluate and plan for secure and safe events.Support STACKโ€™s crisis management and business continuity programs.Recruit and lead high-performing security leaders to execute strategic plans.THE DETAILS:Reports to the SVP Enterprise ResilienceDirect Reports: Region and Site Security Managers, Director of Protective Intelligence and Executive Protection, and Construction Security.Location: Denver, CO preferred or any STACK Data Center LocationTravel: Up to 50% to North American property locationsMust be eligible to work in the United StatesMust pass a comprehensive background screeningMUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 15 yearsโ€™ progressively responsible leadership in corporate security, Experience leading enterprise security programs within data centers, cloud infrastructure, critical infrastructure, technology, utilities, telecommunications, or similarly complex environments.Bachelorโ€™s degree required, preferably within security management, criminal justice, emergency management, business, or engineering. Advanced degree desired but not required.Direct experience standing up or leading broad range of security responsibilities including corporate offices, data centers, construction sites, executive protection, protective intelligence and crisis-management.ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or equivalent senior security leadership experience.Demonstrated success building organizations during periods of rapid growth.Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead through collaboration across complex, dispersed organizations.The sophistication to tell credible threats to safety apart from lawful community activity, protests, and civic engagement, and to keep security measures proportionate and privacy-respecting.Demonstrated experience selecting, managing, and evaluating strategic security consulting firms and outsourced security providers.Strong command of the legal, privacy, and civil-liberties dimensions of enterprise physical security.Familiarity with enterprise physical security technology including IP video and network-based access control systems.SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL BE MEASURED BY:Development of an enterprise security program that scales with STACK's growth.Reduction of enterprise security risk through governance, standards, and risk-informed investments.Strong partnerships with Development, Construction, Operations, Legal, Public Policy, Marketing, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership.Effective implementation of protective intelligence, executive protection, and event security programs.Successful leadership of strategic security initiatives and third-party partnerships.Building and developing a high-performing enterprise security organization.Security that protects people and property while sustaining trust and strong relationships in STACK's host communities.Compensation Range:$228,960.00 - $263,940.00THIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:You are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.You do not get flustered easily.
