Job description

Responsibilities
  • Actively manage a team of data professionals to achieve strategic priorities and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to standardize, promote, and evangelize the responsible and ethical use of data to improve the firmโ€™s performance.
  • Serve as a subjectโ€‘matter expert of the enterpriseโ€‘class data warehouse and analytics solution.
  • Leverage data to support performance initiatives.
  • Assist with the build, development, and maintenance of data models, reporting systems, data automation, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
  • Drive data initiatives and efforts to improve firmโ€‘wide decisionโ€‘making.
  • Partner with the Information Security and Data Protection teams to implement controls, policies, and standards that meet organizational expectations while complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Present operational updates, issues, and proposals to directors and executive leadership on a regular basis.
  • Help govern and support a culture that manages data as an enterprise asset.
  • Cultivate, foster, and maintain positive working relationships with dataโ€‘centric user and peer groups.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Prior experience managing a small team of onshore and nearโ€‘shore developers.
  • Experience managing projects in an agile environment.
  • Handsโ€‘on development experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL.
  • Managed Instances experience is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management, and Reporting.
Qualifications
  • College Degree or equivalent required.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Experience managing staff, projects, and/or processes.
  • Subjectโ€‘matter expertise in data warehousing and analytics.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations.
  • Ability to manage a team of others.
  • Ability to formulate new policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel as required by business and availability for onโ€‘call duties.
