The Security Manager, Airgas is responsible for managing and implementing Group Security policies and programs. These duties may vary within the Group; however, are not limited to Group Ethics, US Security Regulatory programs, Duty of Care, Employee Protection with respect to Airgas. Additionally the role supports the lead Digital Security program, the coordination of Crisis Management and Business continuity planning, and loss prevention programs with the Airgas
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert level/pragmatic leadership for the Airgas security function, aligned with Group goals, targets and priorities.
  • Promote and manage the "Duty of Care" for Airgas on case by case basis
  • Implement and manage security management and risk mitigation policies/programs aligned with Air Liquide Global Security and risk management objectives.
  • Assist in the development, coordination and execution of executive and personnel protection/security programs for events held throughout Airgas, as necessary.
  • Risk, threat, vulnerability and intelligence monitoring (via multiple resources) regarding all issues that can impact operations, sustainability and continuity of the business.
  • Maintain necessary government clearance levels and relationships with a variety of intelligence sources (Public/private);
  • Dissemination to company leadership to ensure awareness and knowledge of trends and evolving risks;
  • Develop, and implement risk mitigation solutions and strategies, policies/programs aligned with Group objectives, in coordination and collaboration of the business units.
  • Coordination and execution of executive and personnel protection/security programs for events held within Airgas, as necessary.
  • Liaison and maintain relationships with government leaders (Federal, State/Provincial, Local) throughout the Americas to ensure collaborative support. This includes law enforcement, critical infrastructure programs and others as needed.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with security related regulatory programs (DHS CFATS; DOT HM-232, MTSA, etc...)
  • Conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA) and lead security audits for Airgas.
  • Lead Information Protection Coordinator (IPC) for the cluster's legal entities with responsibility to support the Digital Security-Information Protection Program.
  • Lead the Security program for Airgas with coordination through Group Security.
  • Lead the Loss Prevention Program for Airgas with focus on warehouses.
  • Support the Crisis Management and Business Continuity program for Airgas.
  • Conduct, support, and/or assist with various types of investigations in support of the company as needed.
  • Create, promote, and implement security related training and awareness programs to address protection and business risks in an evolving environment.
  • Understand and monitor existing and emerging threats to the business, as well as provide smart and effective solutions to existing and foreseeable problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Security or Safety professional (with security experience), with a minimum of 10 years operational experience in a corporate or government environment is required (Law Enforcement, Safety with Security roles included, or Military experience).
  • Strong Investigative background (to include interview skills, networking with LE/ Govt agencies as needed, and effective documentation/ report writing capabilities.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships and networks (internal and external).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree a plus
  • Regulatory compliance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Homeland Security and DOT regulations highly preferred
