Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer with experience in the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of large industrial equipment. The ideal candidate would also have Process Engineering Experience in Municipal or Industrial waste streams. This role will coordinate closely with Design Engineering and Product Management to drive continuous improvements based on field data, installation feedback, and operational findings. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, data management skills, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong Customer support mentality and represent the company in front of the Customer.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responds to Customer service calls and determine necessary corrective action
  • Commission and operate complex process systems, and train Customers on operation, during Start-up
  • Perform mechanical, electrical and controls inspections at Customer sites to identify deficiencies
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and controls systems as needed
  • Trouble shoot and recommend solutions for process improvement and control
  • Conduct liquid, gas and solids sampling as necessary to certify equipment
  • Maintain and manage engineering change documents, configuration controls documents, and other technical information required to match as built documentation
  • Prepares, edits, and proofreads inspection and commissioning reports
  • Conduct inspections on fabrications and assemblies at vendor facilities including but not limited to; welding, non-destructive examination (NDE) and inspection test plan (ITP) procedure review
  • Support Product Engineering and Product Development through continuous improvement initiatives

Employment Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering from an accredited university plus 5+ years of experience
    • or 10+ years of significant experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a group setting
  • Available for on-call support, during start-up or commissioning
  • Ability to write technical reports and document performance measurements
  • Ability to work and interact with Customers and vendors
  • Ability to work in loud environments
  • Skilled in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Experience in the Water Waste / Water industry a plus
  • Experience with controls equipment (PLC/HMI/IO ect.) a plus
