Description

HESCO is looking for a Senior Product Specialist - Software & Controls to help drive growth across our industrial automation portfolio throughout New England.

This is a customer-facing role that combines industrial automation expertise, technical sales, business development, and solution consulting. You'll work closely with customers and our sales team to identify opportunities, solve application challenges, and recommend Rockwell Automation solutions that improve manufacturing performance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge of industrial control systems and can comfortably move between technical conversations with engineers and business discussions with customers and sales teams.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a technical and commercial resource for PLCs, I/O, HMI, SCADA, industrial networking, safety systems, industrial computers, and automation software.
  • Develop and execute business plans designed to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Partner with customers to understand applications, challenges, and business objectives and recommend appropriate automation solutions.
  • Support Rockwell Automation platforms including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and related technologies.
  • Review electrical schematics, network architectures, and control system designs.
  • Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and recommend application-appropriate solutions.
  • Lead account planning, target-account strategies, and commercial initiatives.
  • Deliver customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical training.
  • Identify competitive displacement opportunities and effectively communicate the value of Rockwell Automation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain opportunity forecasts and pipeline visibility.
  • Collaborate with HESCO's automation, drives, safety, and smart component specialists to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitive technologies, cybersecurity fundamentals, and industrial digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of industrial automation experience working with Rockwell Automation solutions or competitive platforms.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, industrial networks, and industrial safety systems.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation technologies such as ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and review electrical schematics, network architectures, and control system designs.
  • Strong technical communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
  • Consultative approach to sales and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across sales, engineering, marketing, and partner teams.
  • Strong business acumen and an interest in helping manufacturers adopt modern automation and digital technologies.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
