As a Custom Protection Officer Gate Access Control in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.66 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a food and beverage location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site expectations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying credentials when required, and documenting arrivals and departures.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with site contacts, assisting with evacuations, and completing required incident documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
