Your Responsibilities
โข Conduct onsite inspections at commercial, residential, and infrastructure project locations to ensure compliance with erosion and sediment control regulations
โข Issue detailed inspection reports with corrective actions and timelines
โข Work directly with contractors, project managers, and site operators to troubleshoot erosion control issues and develop solutions
โข Assess the environmental impact of construction activities on wetlands, streams, and sensitive areas
โข Provide technical expertise and answer client inquiries about erosion and sediment control best practices
โข Ensure compliance with all municipal, provincial, and federal environmental regulations
โข Maintain all required certifications, training, and compliance records
โข Occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed to meet project deadlines
Who We Are Looking For
โข At least one year of experience in erosion and sediment control inspection, design, or installation
โข Strong background in environmental sciences, water resources, or related technical fields
โข Ability to identify compliance issues and recommend effective solutions
โข Excellent communication and client management skills
โข Physically capable of walking rough terrain, working in all weather conditions, and driving between job sites
โข Strong problem-solving, planning, and critical-thinking skills
โข Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
โข Valid driverโs license and clean driving record
Additional Assets That Make You Stand Out
โข Bachelorโs Degree in Water Resources, Environmental Science, or a Related Field
โข Experience reading and interpreting engineering plans and site drawings
โข Certified Inspector of Erosion and Sediment Controls CISEC Certification (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
โข Valid First Aid, H2S, CSTS, or other safety certifications

Pay Range: $26-$32 per hour
Schedule: Eight-hour shifts with occasional evening and weekend work
