What You Will Do:
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will deliver hands-on patient care, assist with evaluations, and implement treatment plans to support recovery and functional improvement.
- Provide treatment to patients based on established plans of care and therapist direction.
- Implement therapeutic exercise programs aligned with patient goals and discharge plans.
- Instruct patients in proper use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, canes, braces, and prosthetics.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs.
- Modify treatments with therapist approval to support patient progress.
- Assist in collecting data for evaluations and reassessments.
- Meet departmental productivity standards.
- Accurately document patient care, progress notes, and billing information.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and participate in care conferences.
- Recommend discharge needs and equipment as appropriate.
- Provide training to staff on mobility and equipment usage.
- Participate in department education and training activities.
- Maintain continuing education requirements for licensure.
- Work across multiple locations or clinical areas as needed.
- Complete assigned projects and perform all other duties as assigned.
