We are seeking for one (1) motivated Graduate or PhD/PharmD Co-op student to support Medical Affairs Strategy & Execution within the Oncology/Prostate Cancer therapeutic area. This 12-month co-op role will provide hands‑on exposure to a large, pharmaceutical medical affairs environment, with a focus on supporting scientific communication, healthcare professional (HCP) engagement, congress activities, medical content development, and cross-functional execution for product specific‑related workstreams. The successful candidate will work closely with Medical Affairs colleagues and cross‑functional partners to help translate scientific strategy into practical, high‑quality deliverables. This role is well suited for a graduate‑level or PhD/PharmD student who is scientifically curious, organized, collaborative, and interested in gaining applied experience in oncology medical affairs, strategic planning, and execution. This is a learning‑focused co‑op opportunity designed to build foundational experience in medical affairs while contributing to meaningful scientific and operational projects in prostate cancer.

Medical Affairs Strategy & Execution Support Support execution of apalutamide medical affairs priorities, including activities related to prostate cancer scientific strategy, launch readiness, and cross‑functional alignment.

Assist with tracking, organizing, and following up on key deliverables across medical affairs workstreams.

Help synthesize scientific and strategic information into concise summaries, trackers, and project updates for internal stakeholders.

Support development of materials that enable consistent scientific communication across internal teams and regional partners.

Capture key outputs from meeting discussions and related action items in meeting minutes for post meeting distribution (2 times per month).

HCP Engagement Support Assist with planning and execution support for HCP engagement activities, advisory boards, scientific exchange meetings, and related follow‑up materials.

Support preparation of discussion guides, pre‑read materials, insight‑capture templates, and post‑meeting summaries.

Help organize and synthesize HCP insights to inform medical strategy, content refinement, and future engagement planning.

Scientific Content and Slide Development Support development, refinement, and formatting of scientific slide decks, internal updates, and presentation materials.

Assist with ensuring consistency of scientific messaging, references, visual standards, and slide flow across materials.

Help adapt complex scientific information into clear, concise formats for internal medical affairs audiences.

Collaborate with medical, agency, and cross‑functional partners to incorporate feedback and maintain version control.

Scientific Communication Platform Support Support updates to scientific communication platform materials, including disease‑state, product, and evidence‑based content.

Assist with organizing references, reviewing content for consistency, and maintaining alignment across related communication resources.

Help identify opportunities to improve usability, clarity, and consistency of core scientific materials.

Contribute to internal tools and resources that help teams communicate scientific information consistently.

FAQ and One J&J Voice Deliverables Assist with development and maintenance of FAQs, objection handlers, and related medical communication resources.

Support “One J&J voice” deliverables by helping align content across internal stakeholders and ensuring consistent terminology, structure, and message flow.

Help consolidate inputs from medical, regional, and cross‑functional partners into clear draft materials for review.

Support preparation of concise response documents and internal summaries that address anticipated scientific questions.

Congress Support and Scientific Intelligence Support planning and execution activities for major oncology and urology congresses.

Assist with congress preparation materials, abstract/session tracking, competitive intelligence summaries, medical insights capture, and post‑congress reports.

Help prepare internal pre‑ and post‑congress communication materials, including one‑page summaries, slide updates, and key takeaways.

Support coordination of congress‑related deliverables across medical affairs and cross‑functional teams.

Social Media and External Scientific Landscape Analysis Support social media and digital landscape analysis related to prostate cancer congresses, apalutamide, and relevant scientific topics.

Help identify, organize, and summarize emerging themes, discussion trends, and scientific conversation topics from approved sources and tools.

Contribute to concise summaries that communicate relevance for medical affairs stakeholders.

Maintain appropriate scientific objectivity and avoid unsupported interpretation when summarizing external discussions.

Project Management and Cross‑Functional Collaboration Maintain project trackers, timelines, action logs, and meeting notes for assigned workstreams.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, track feedback, and support completion of deliverables.

Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and accountability when handling scientific and business‑sensitive information.

Available to work for the duration of the 12-month co‑op term.

Strong interest in pharmaceutical/biotech medical affairs, oncology, prostate cancer, scientific communications, or healthcare strategy.

Foundational understanding of clinical research, medical literature, and evidence‑based scientific communication.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment.

Authorized to work in Canada on a full‑time basis without the need of future sponsorship requirements.

Remain actively enrolled in their academic program throughout the entire internship.

Be available to work 37.5 hours during the entire internship.

Have a record of strong academic performance recommended 2.8 and above.

PhD/PharmD candidate, graduate student, or recent graduate with academic experience in pharmacy, biomedical sciences, pharmacology, epidemiology, public health, medical sciences, or a related field.

Prior coursework, research, rotation, internship, or work experience in oncology, urology, medical affairs, clinical development, medical information, regulatory affairs, or medical communications.

Experience creating or refining slide decks, scientific summaries, or educational materials.

Familiarity with oncology terminology, clinical trial design, and common evidence‑generation concepts.

Interest in prostate cancer, genitourinary oncology, launch readiness, congress strategy, or scientific communications.

Comfort working with digital tools, dashboards, social listening outputs, or structured trackers.
