Job description

Description:

We are a bookkeeping firm specializing in bookkeeping, payroll, and individual and business tax preparation, seeking an experienced tax preparer. Our office is located in Longmont, Colorado.


This is a remote/office hybrid position with the following hybrid schedule.

  • Tax Season- 3 days in office/2 days at home
  • Off Season- 2 days in office/3 days at home

Individual is responsible for preparation of individual and business tax returns along with bookkeeping duties for various clients, preparing monthly financial statements, year-end reviews. Individual will rely upon instructions from their supervisor, and their own education and work experience. Reports to Directer of Operations, Tax Manager and Bookkeeping Manager.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:
-Prepare forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 990 in Proseries
-Resolve tax matters with the IRS and State
-Prepare monthly financials such as P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements
-Prepare year end reviews
-Reconcile bank and credit card accounts in Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks online
-Processing A/P and A/R for clients-Processing payroll and quarterly payroll reports
-Prepare 1099s at year end

-Work as part of a team on bigger projects to get them completed on time

Qualifications:
-3 plus years of experience with forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 990

-2-3 years Quickbooks Desktop experience

2-3 years Quickbooks Online experience

-Proficient with Excel
-Associates or Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
-Sales Tax experience preferred
-EA or CPA Credentials preferred
-Payroll Preparation Experience preferred
-Experience with Intuit Proseries preferred
