Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 to 5 years customer service experience in the insurance industry required
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Manage the day-to-day service delivery for an assigned portfolio of middle market commercial property & casualty clients, including complex and multi-line accounts across a variety of industries.

  • Serve as the primary client service contact, building trusted relationships with clients, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Resolve moderately complex client service issues involving coverage interpretation, policy administration, claims coordination, certificates of insurance, endorsements, audits, and billing inquiries.

  • Coordinate with Producers, Account Executives, carriers, and underwriting partners to ensure timely and accurate client service delivery.

  • Support the marketing and renewal process by gathering underwriting information, preparing renewal submissions, reviewing proposals, and assisting with coverage comparisons.

  • Facilitate policy changes, endorsements, certificates, evidences of property insurance, loss runs, and other service requests within established service standards.

  • Conduct policy reviews and assist clients in understanding coverage options, industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments affecting their business.

  • Identify gaps in coverage and generate client interest in additional insurance products and risk management solutions, referring opportunities to Producers as appropriate.

  • Represent clients internally and coordinate resources to address ongoing service needs, strategic initiatives, and special projects.

  • Participate in client meetings, renewal strategy discussions, stewardship meetings, and carrier meetings as needed.

  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in agency management systems and carrier portals.

  • Ensure compliance with CBIZ policies, carrier requirements, internal controls, and industry regulations.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, wholesalers, and vendor partners.

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less experienced service team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License 
  • 3+ years of commercial property & casualty insurance experience, preferably supporting middle market accounts.

  • Experience servicing complex commercial insurance programs, including multiple lines of coverage and carrier relationships.

  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages

  • Strong understanding of the commercial insurance renewal lifecycle, coverage analysis, and client service best practices.

  • Experience with agency management systems such as Sagitta, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and client focus.
