Role

You're the person who makes things work. You catch the broken AV setup before the all-hands starts, know a new hire's start date before their manager does, and ensure our Redwood City office runs like a well-oiled machine. This role is the execution layer for People Operations in Redwood City. You'll manage daily office operations, execute onboarding, support our recruiting function, and build the systems and documentation that help us scale.

Note: This role is onsite at our Redwood City Office at least 3 days a week.

What You'll Own

People Operations & Recruiting Execution

  • Execute aspects of onboarding including HRIS setup in Rippling and Sequoia, system access, equipment coordination, and Day 1 logistics
  • Maintain HRIS hygiene by keeping Rippling and employee data clean and audit-ready
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to coordinate the recruiting process
  • Own the candidate experience, from posting roles to ensuring smooth interviews to sending offer letters through our HRIS

Front of House & Office Experience

  • Manage the daily office environment including supplies, snacks, desks, AV equipment, and common areas
  • Serve as the first point of contact for office-related issues—you either fix it or escalate it quickly
  • Partner with IT to manage building access and visitor protocols
  • Coordinate with building management, IT, and facilities vendors

Events & Culture

  • Coordinate office events, team gatherings, and culture programming
  • Support offsite logistics including venue research, contracts, vendor management, and on-site execution

Systems & Automation

  • Maintain SOPs, process documentation, and internal company intranet in Google Sites
  • Identify manual, repetitive workflows and propose automation or AI-assisted solutions
What We're Looking For
  • 2–4 years in office management, People Ops coordination, HR, or a closely related role
  • Direct experience with an HRIS platform; Rippling strongly preferred
  • High ownership mentality—you are not someone who waits to be told what to do. You see what needs to happen and make it happen
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail
  • Understanding and experience processing confidential information and private HR-related matters
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff
  • Actively curious about AI tools and building innovative solutions
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Rippling (HRIS), Sequoia (PEO), Lever (ATS), Lattice (Performance), Google Workspace, Slack
