As aPropaneTransport Delivery Driver, you will safely deliver propane to commercial, and Industrial customers. This position is ideal for experienced CDL drivers who enjoy working independently, providing outstanding customer service, and being part of a professional team. This position will report out of our Lexington hub.
Training will take place on day shift for approximately four to six weeks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver propane to commercial andindustrialcustomers.
- Operate propane delivery trucks in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Complete deliveries accurately using electronic dispatch and mobile devices.
- Provide exceptional customer service whilerepresentingPalmetto Propane professionally.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-maintained trucks and equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management.
- Assistduring emergency weather events whenrequired.
- Comply withOSHA, DOT, NFPA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsementsrequired.
- Manual transmission experience preferredbut notrequired.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, background check, and drug screening.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Abilityto repeatedlyliftupto 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong communicationand customer service skills.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and electronic dispatch systems.
- Willingness to work overtime during periods of high customer demand.
