Description

The Liquid Propane Service Technician is responsible for Service Work for propane customers. This includes delivery of product and installation of tanks as needed. High value is place on service and retaining the customers.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of propane tanks
  • Bulk plant compliance
  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed
  • Maintain timely, accurate records on sales and inventories
  • Maintain safety standards at all times
  • Look for opportunities to sell additional products and services
  • Operate within the standards set by USDOT and FMCSR
  • All other general labor duties as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Propane industry/Will Train
  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals
  • Ability to follow established processes
  • Basic knowledge of computers and basic software
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of basic commercial truck maintenance

Education:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • CDL license with the appropriate endorsements
  • CETP Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to reach, pull and lift 50+ lbs
  • Able to handle repetitive lift and pull motion
  • Able to read documents with fine print
  • Able to use a keyboard
  • Able to hear effectively on the phone
