Position Summary
Folger Gas is seeking a safe, dependable, and customer-focused Propane Delivery Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is safely operating a Class B propane delivery truck and delivering propane to residential and commercial customers throughout the Jefferson area.
Because we are a close-knit team, this position will also assist with basic propane service, installation, and repair work when coverage is needed. While delivery will remain the main focus of the role, the ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, and comfortable stepping in to support service operations as needed.
You'll receive specialized training from our experienced team, including assistance obtaining your Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement and required propane service certifications. If you enjoy being on the road, working outdoors, and taking on a variety of hands-on responsibilities, this is a rewarding opportunity with a stable, family-owned company.
What You'll Do
  • Primarily operate a single-axle Class B propane delivery truck to deliver propane to residential and commercial customers.
  • Safely connect, pump, and disconnect propane at customer locations.
  • Plan and complete delivery routes accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect delivery vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation.
  • Assist with propane system installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs when service coverage is needed.
  • Respond to occasional scheduled or emergency service calls and help assess customer needs.
  • Safely use hand and power tools while completing basic service work.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, hazardous materials guidelines, and propane industry requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency delivery or service needs.
  • Work additional hours during the busy winter heating season as needed.
  • Assist with other operational duties when necessary.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement (company-paid training available).
  • Ability to successfully complete and apply hazardous materials training.
  • Must live close enough to respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner.
  • Physically able to operate a Class B delivery truck and pull a propane delivery hose to customer tanks multiple times throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and on steep or uneven terrain.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
  • Previous propane delivery or propane industry experience.
  • Commercial driving experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude or equipment maintenance experience.
  • Experience working independently in a field-based role.
Compensation, Benefits & More

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
  • Additional overtime available during the winter season.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
