As a propane installer, you will be instrumental in ensuring our vision and high expectations are carried out in an industry that we have served for over 70 years.  As the face to our customers, you will be responsible for making sure we continually put our best foot forward with propane installations.

What You’ll Do

  • Install propane tanks, varying in size from 120 to 1000 gallons both above and underground.
  • Provide maintenance on existing propane tanks and associated piping systems to include repairs, gas leak tests and pressure tests.
  • Install gas piping for residential and commercial applications, from new construction to renovations per job specifics.
  • Install and perform maintenance on diesel and gasoline tanks, as well as their pumps, hoses, filters, nozzles, and other associated fittings.
  • Operate machinery such as trenchers, forklifts, backhoes, and truck-mounted cranes.
  • Keep your appointed service truck clean and orderly, while maintaining an appropriate amount of inventory of parts on your truck to be able to complete basic repairs and maintenance. (All tools needed are provided by the company).
  • Help clean and maintain trucks, heavy equipment, fuel and propane tanks, work areas and company buildings/facilities.
  • If and when needed, complete any required paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

  • Must have experience working as a propane gasfitter
  • Must have knowledge of NFPA 58, and have the knowledge required to install propane tanks and propane piping systems according to code.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary, and possible “on-call” responsibilities, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull 75 lbs.
  • Possess a CDL B license with proper indorsements, including Hazmat, Air Brake and Tanker
  • Must submit to a certified driving record check.
  • Must submit to a drug test and criminal background check
  • Responsible for maintaining active DOT medical card.
  • Ability to execute the physical demands of the role, including constant reaching above shoulder, stooping, swatting, bending at the waist, kneeling, pushing or pulling.
  • Ability to climb extension ladders
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
