Job Description Summary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and performs basic and advanced diagnostics and equipment repairs to all types of equipment; documents equipment status before and after rental (including work order and road sheet detail during repair), communicates equipment issues to customers, foreman, and supporting mechanics

  • Services and oversees repairs of all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition at the job site

  • Adheres to all safety standards as prescribed by Sunbelt management including company vehicle upkeep

  • Performs basic Power/Pump/HVAC/Load Bank and Compressor equipment diagnostics

  • Maintains service records and creates warranty claims

  • Performs preventative maintenance and equipment repair on all Pump & Power equipment as assigned

  • Installs flexible gas hoses on both propane and natural gas applications; performs proper and safe procedure to check gas connections

  • Documents projects to include daily notes, labor logs, progress reports, JSS, JSA, etc.

  • Works with Service Managers and Rental Operations to ensure rental equipment standards are met.

  • Must maintain brand commitments of equipment.

  • Disposes of hazardous materials in a responsible and safe fashion in accordance with company policy

  • Available for on call emergency service as scheduled

  • Other duties as assigned by the manager

  • Ability to complete SMFs, warranties, order parts, etc in Wynne system

  • Maintain all CMV requirements of position

  • Able to communicate equipment status to customers onsite and determine whether equipment needs to be replaced

  • Obtain and maintain all necessary site and customer specific documentation

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining Pump & Power equipment

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • DOT Physical Examination (Medical card)

  • EPA section 608 universal Certification required

  • Understands basic refrigeration (EPA Certified)

  • Understands electrical engines and controllers

  • Understands operation of dehumidification equipment from CDI and munters

  • Possesses knowledge of generators, power distribution, A/C, Heater and Shoring; possesses an understanding of diesel equipment, generators and air compressors

  • Understands compressed air treatment (dryers/filters/aftercooler)

  • Able to read and understand electric schematics

  • Able to read and understand hydraulic flow drawings

  • Project management and customer service skills required

  • Has an operational process/system aptitude

  • Experience with similar equipment preferred

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt's safety policies and guidelines. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range: $24.05 - 34.56
