Job description

Manufacturing Technician
Job summary:
This role supports advanced manufacturing operations by performing high-level soldering, fabrication, and assembly of bus system components. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex drawings while working in a hands-on production environment.
Responsibilities:
* Perform high-level brazing and silver soldering on copper tubing and heavy-wall piping systems
* Execute soft soldering using both traditional and lead-free materials depending on specifications
* Carry out pressure and vacuum testing to confirm system integrity and performance standards
* Interpret and follow detailed engineering drawings, including symbols, measurements, and tolerances
* Measure, cut, and prep materials using various shop tools including saws and miter equipment
* Safely operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes to move materials
* Work with torch systems and industrial gases including oxygen, acetylene, and propane
* Ensure all fabrication meets strict dimensional tolerances and quality expectations
* Assemble components into finished systems following fabrication and prep work
* Read and apply process flow diagrams and water system schematics during assembly
* Complete work independently while also collaborating with team members when needed
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with company safety standard
Requirements:
* Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday,7am to 3:30pm
* Minimum of 5 years of experience with soldering, brazing, and pipe/tube fabrication
* Strong ability to understand and work from technical drawings and blueprints
* Experience using fabrication tools, cutting equipment, and material handling systems
* Familiar with pressure testing and vacuum testing methods
* Understanding of fluid or water system schematics preferred
* Able to work both independently and within a team-based production environment
* Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and remaining active throughout the shift
* Comfortable working in a hands-on industrial setting
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience with precision cutting tools such as saws and miter equipment
* Background in manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly environments
