Job description

Scope:

All Warehouse Associates are responsible for a variety of daily functions in the warehouse and on the facility grounds. The WA are responsible for assisting in the safe off-load of bulk oils into the appropriate bulk tanks and totes, and filling in as a backup driver as needed. WAs warehouse duties consist of, but are not limited to, refilling portable bulk containers used for deliveries and storage, receiving bulk and package deliveries, proper stock rotation based on a FIFO (first in first out). Facility and grounds duties may include, but are not limited to, daily inspections of the property fence line to ensure that the grounds are secure, inspecting general maintenance, consisting of monthly sweeping of the parking areas and surrounding blacktop.

Significant Activities & Deliverables:

  • Assists Operations Manager with warehouse human resource objectives including selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures
  • Oversee and participate in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing and issuing of petroleum goods including supplies, equipment, assuring shipments are prepared for timely delivery
  • Process a variety of reports in written and electronic form (e.g. requisitions, paperwork, reports, etc.) to disseminate information and/or materials to appropriate parties
  • Serve as a backup Lubricant Delivery Driver.
  • Receive stock and non-stock items, ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct
  • Drive vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.) while transporting orders and materials to designated sites
  • Deliver a variety of items to assigned locations and/or individuals
  • Load and unloads delivery trucks to receive stock and/or filling orders for transport
  • Prepare orders by either pulling from stock or securing boxes, meeting delivery requirements
  • Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identify possible losses
  • Respond to inquiries of staff, providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries, etc.
  • Maintain documents, files and records (e.g. tracking on line shipping, transfer forms, etc.), documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information
  • Maintain delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) to ensure safe operation of vehicles
  • Clean warehouse to maintain a safe and sanitary work area
  • Maintain facility grounds inside/outside to maintain a safe and sanitary work area
  • Work with Dispatch to expedite shipments and deliveries in a safe and timely manner
  • Reports directly to the Warehouse Lead

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School, GED equivalent or higher
  • Clean driving record
  • Forklift certified
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Class A or B CDL
  • Tankers Endorsement
  • 2 years of commercial driving experience
