Job Title: Propane Dispatcher

Job Type: Full-Time (40+ hours/week), Monday-Friday
Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Pay Range: $52,000-$60,000 annually

Location: 630 Proctor Ave NW, Elk River, MN 55330


POSITION SUMMARY

The Propane Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and dispatching propane deliveries to customer locations while ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and a high level of customer satisfaction. This role supports daily logistics, monitors driver activity, and collaborates across departments to maintain safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery services.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch propane deliveries (automatic and will-call) to meet customer needs 
  • Monitor truck locations and optimize delivery routes using GPS systems 
  • Track driver hours and ensure compliance with applicable regulations 
  • Handle customer calls, assess service needs, and provide timely support 
  • Request and verify purchase order (PO) information as needed 
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support delivery operations 
  • Support the Division Manager with daily operational tasks 
  • Follow and enforce company safety policies and regulatory requirements 
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required 
  • Assist with inventory monitoring, transport dispatching, and data entry 
  • Perform general clerical duties and other duties as assigned



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Previous dispatching experience preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities 
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
