While much of the industry remains in R&D, we deliver real, production-ready autonomy that is already operating in the field.
We are on a mission to make mining operations safer, smarter, and more efficient through cutting-edge technology, and we are building toward becoming the world's first profitable AV technology company.

What you'll do

Installation & Deployment

  • Perform on-site installation of Pronto hardware and software solutions, including sensor systems, drive-by-wire (DBW) kits, power integration, and vehicle interfaces.
  • Install peripheral hardware such as network stations, gate systems, and office infrastructure.
  • Conduct system calibrations and validation tests to ensure installations meet operational standards.
  • Coordinate with customer teams on training and technical maintenance.
  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure system health, reliability, and long-term performance.
  • Monitor and log equipment conditions, identifying signs of wear, degradation, or environmental impact.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair
  • Diagnose and repair hardware, software, and connectivity issues in the field.

Customer Support

  • Serve as the face of Pronto during on-site visits, maintaining professional and responsive communication with customer personnel.
  • Provide basic training to customer staff when required.
  • Document all service activities, updates, and issues using internal ticketing and CRM tools.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in field service, automotive electronics, mechatronics, or a similar technical support role.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing tools.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle systems (power, CAN bus, sensors, ECUs).
  • Comfortable working independently in field environments and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% to customer sites.

Preferred

  • Experience with autonomous vehicle systems, heavy equipment, machine control, robotics, or complex sensor integrations.
  • Associate degree, trade school, or technical college certification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, automotive technology)
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems and remote diagnostics.
  • OSHA 10 or equivalent safety certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of standing, bending, and working in and around vehicles for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

What else you need to know

This is a field-based role supporting operations across the United States. Atoms is a company driven by invention and continuous change-we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. This position requires travel across the U.S. up to 75% of the time. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent travel and a highly mobile work environment.

The base starting rate for this role is $27.88 - $35.10 per hour.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
