Job description

Assume a vital position as a key member of a high-performing team that delivers infrastructure and performance excellence. Your role will be instrumental in shaping the future at one of the world's largest and most influential companies.
As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Network Connectivity Services team, you will support operations, governance, and control execution across the firm's network environment. You will help sustain risk compliance, contribute to risk and controls activities, and assist with process documentation and automation efforts. With appropriate guidance and review, you will use scripting, automation, and prompt engineering to reduce manual effort and improve the consistency and reliability of recurring operational and controls tasks. As the firm expands its investment in AI, this role offers a hands-on opportunity to develop and apply these capabilities within a governed controls environment.
Job responsibilities
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
  • Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations.
  • Applies technical expertise and structured problem-solving to support design, development, automation, and troubleshooting for projects of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Supports application lifecycle activities, including governance routines, documentation maintenance, evidence tracking, and audit readiness.
  • Coordinates project activities by tracking actions, gathering inputs, managing follow-ups, and ensuring changes, decisions, and remediation efforts are documented and traceable.
  • Maintains documentation and evidence in accordance with established standards; identifies gaps, raises risks or blockers, and supports timely remediation.
  • Supports risk and control execution through evidence gathering, control narrative drafting, artifact validation, and remediation tracking.
  • Assists with audit and regulatory readiness by organizing evidence, coordinating stakeholder responses, and partnering with teams to close open items.
  • Builds and enhances automations to streamline evidence collection, validation, formatting, reporting, and recurring operational processes.
  • Partners with Application Owners, Risk and Controls Analysts, Technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to collect inputs, resolve dependencies, and support timely delivery.
  • Supports metrics collection, data validation, and basic analysis to enable recurring reporting, dashboards, and performance insights.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure network technologies, data modeling, and scripting languages
  • Working knowledge of internal controls concepts, evidence expectations, and issue remediation workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through; ability to execute defined processes and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate Python/scripting skills (or demonstrated ability and willingness to learn) for automation and data handling
  • Interest in AI-assisted ways of working (automation patterns and prompt engineering) with a focus on accuracy, governance, and review

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio)
  • Experience with risk detection and tracking applications
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint
