Automotive A Level / Diagnostics Technician – $45–$50+/hr Flat Rate – No Weekends

Location: Broomfield, CO or Erie, CO
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $45 – $50+/hr Flat Rate
Earning Potential: $100K+ annually
Experience Required: 8+ years / ASE Certification(s) Required

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring experienced A Level / Diag. Automotive Technicians for well-established, family-owned independent repair shops in Broomfield, CO and Erie, CO. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity with strong flat-rate pay, excellent benefits, and a team-focused shop culture.

We're looking for a true diagnostics wizard — someone who thrives on solving complex electrical and drivability issues, enjoys challenging diagnostic work, and takes pride in fixing vehicles right the first time. The ideal technician is confident using advanced scan tools, interpreting data, and leading the way when it comes to troubleshooting difficult problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
  • Diagnose complex electrical, drivability, engine performance, and mechanical issues accurately
  • Utilize lab scopes, scan data, and advanced diagnostic procedures to identify root-cause failures
  • Complete brake, suspension, alignment, maintenance, and general repair work
  • Use scan tools including Autel and Topdon for diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Complete digital vehicle inspections and document repair recommendations clearly
  • Collaborate with service advisors and teammates to keep workflow moving efficiently
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
  • Help support and mentor other technicians when needed

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience required
  • Must be a strong diagnostics technician with extensive electrical and drivability experience
  • Ability to diagnose complex issues beyond simple parts replacement
  • Experience with Domestic and Asian vehicles required
  • European vehicle experience is a plus
  • DVI experience preferred
  • ASE certifications required
  • Strong communication skills and leadership mentality
  • Positive attitude with high integrity and professionalism
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits

  • $45 – $50+/hr flat rate, depending on experience / skills
