Job Description

Allied Universal® Technology Services is seeking a Project Superintendent - Construction to oversee field execution and onsite delivery of electronic security system construction projects related to electronic security system installations. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising installation activities, managing field resources, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and driving successful project execution from mobilization through commissioning.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead onsite execution of electronic security projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations  
  • Coordinate technicians, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and installation activities in partnership with the Project Manager  
  • Serve as the primary field liaison between the customer, general contractor, inspectors, subcontractors, and project team  
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify deficiencies, and drive timely corrective actions  
  • Oversee site logistics, workforce planning, material coordination, and installation sequencing to support project delivery  
  • Monitor project performance, costs, and subcontractor activities while supporting procurement, budgeting, and change management efforts  
  • Manage RFIs, field documentation, daily reports, punch lists, and issue resolution activities  
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and customer acceptance to ensure successful project completion  
  • Enforce OSHA standards, government regulations, and company safety and quality programs across all project activities  
  • Lead project meetings, communicate risks and schedule impacts, and support project closeout, as-built documentation, and turnover activities 
  • Travel between multiple project sites to oversee project execution and support operational requirements 

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent  
  • Current driver’s license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)  
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience within construction, security integration, or mission-critical environments  
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to guide the accurate installation and integration of electronic security systems. 
  • Advanced knowledge of working with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint) 
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally, as well as manage delivery timeframes and meeting deadlines 
  • Adheres to safety requirements and guidelines, taking appropriate action when needed, ensuring equipment and materials are used properly 
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote locations up to 90%, as the position is primarily field-based and requires extensive travel to active construction sites, including remote locations 
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions, frequent site walking and inspections, and the ability to temporarily relocate or reside in project-provided housing for extended periods as needed 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended hours, weekends, and alternate shifts, to support project schedules, critical milestones, and customer requirements 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Ability to manage a project scope of $1 Million or larger 
  • Experience with government, federal, military, critical infrastructure, or mission-critical construction projects 
  • Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related field 
  • Experience working within secure environments, including SCIF or regulated facilities 
  • Manufacturer certifications, pertaining to access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire detection systems 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher) 
  • Certifications in OSHA 10/30 and CRP/First Aid Certification
