Requirements

An Audio/Visual (A/V) Operations Lead directs the daily workflows of A/V technicians and event production teams. They oversee the end-to-end execution of A/V services, manage equipment inventories, and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure flawless in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings or events

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage A/V staff scheduling, mentor junior technicians,      and oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Event & Project Execution: Coordinate the setup, operation, and strike      of lighting, sound, and video equipment for conferences, boardrooms, and      live events.
  • Equipment & Asset Management: Maintain hardware inventories, ensure      equipment integrity, schedule routine preventative maintenance, and      coordinate replacements.
  • Technical  Support: Serve as the top-tier escalation point for complex A/V and      video conferencing (VTC) troubleshooting and incident management issues.      Monitor all customer A/V requests to resolution

Client Relations: Partner with clients and stakeholders during the event-planning phase to identify requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.

Budget & Logistics: Assist with department budgeting, labor cost projections, and vendor management.

SLA Compliance: Monitor team performance metrics to ensure all support tickets and event requests meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Vendor Management: Coordinate with external A/V rental houses, internet service providers, and equipment manufacturers for specialized event support and warranty repairs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in A/V VTC Operations Management, Incident      Resolution and A/V VTC Integration support.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on proficiency with video projection systems, monitors,      matrix switchers, digital mixing consoles, A/V VTC configuration, and      control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX).
  • Leadership: Strong mentorship, delegation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Security Clearances: Requires Minimum Active DoD Secret clearance
