Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation and review of tax projects by coordinating staffing and workflow
  • Prepare and review high-level tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections
  • Manage tax compliance and tax planning process
  • Manage client budgets and production goals
  • Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process
  • Create and provide training on tax programs and projects for new hires of all levels
  • Mentor staff to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
  • Develop in-house trainings for CPE on relevant topics and industries
  • Provide support with various special tax related projects and assist in preparing proposals for new clients

Preferred Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 5+ years of CPA firm experience, focusing on tax preparation
  • A./B.S. degree in Accounting
  • MBA/Masters in Tax/Accounting a plus
  • Active CPA License
  • Proficient in ProSystem fx Tax, QuickBooks, Sage, CCH Engagement a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (including v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
