Job description


Responsible for project task management; communications, including deck writing; coordination of all sub team efforts; delivery of output; facilitation and gathering of client feedback on problem structuring; and effective management of frequency of feedback loop with offshore resources. Import raw data from client data warehouses and databases into statistical analysis software. Process data by coding, compilation, calculation, tabulation, and verification and make recommendations to management through presentations. Use visualization software, charts, tables and other tools to highlight key trends and recommendations.
Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of using computer and computer languages is a key requirement, to program, write queries, codes, setup functions, and process data. Review and manage project plans.
  • The project plans are developed and maintained by team members and capture all the work streams, tasks and subtasks and the timelines associated with them.
  • Review and advise on team member's work output - data analysis and review results, interim and final output data files and final recommendations.
  • Use EXL analytics methodologies and analysis tools, such as SAS, R, SQL, Hive, Teradata, Hadoop, MS office including Excel and PowerPoint, to perform all of the following: data extraction, data understanding, variable reduction, Big Data processing, data analysis, model development, model stabilization, and model validation, summarization, visualization and presentation.
  • Position may work at various and unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Telecommuting permitted.

Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of Experience in a machine learning or data engineering field. Must have at least two (2) years of experience with the following: SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures; ETL tools, including Informatica and DataStage; Experience with relational databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL; Familiarity with Data warehousing concepts; Performance tuning of ETL jobs and SQL queries.
40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary range: $100,000 to $110,000 per year.
