Summary

We are looking for a data-driven Search Analyst to improve the onsite search experience and drive measurable business outcomes. This role will focus on analyzing search behavior, identifying gaps in results, and partnering with engineering, marketing, and product teams to optimize relevance, conversion, and customer experience.

This is a highly impactful role where you will directly influence revenue by ensuring customers can quickly find the right products.

Essential Job Functions

  • Analyze onsite search data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Identify high-volume, low-converting queries and recommend improvements.
  • Audit product data quality impacting search (titles, attributes, taxonomy)
  • Partner with engineering to improve ranking logic and query handling
  • Work with data/PIM teams to improve data structure and enrichment
  • Identify and resolve poor search results, irrelevant rankings, and missed matches
  • Recommend boosts/bury rules based on performance data
  • Monitor and report on key metrics (Conversion Rate, Zero-result Rate, CTR, Search Exit)
  • Build and maintain synonym libraries (e.g., "18V" = "M18", "wire" = "cable")
  • Identify missing or inconsistent attributes (e.g., voltage, brand, category)
  • Follow content standards, SEO guidelines, and governance best practices.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in ecommerce, digital analytics, or search optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in working with large datasets and identifying patterns
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, SEO/SEM, product data management, and digital merchandising.

Competency

  • Strong organizational, project management, and execution skills.
  • Knowledge of digital content best practices, e-commerce platforms, and category management.
  • Experience with tools like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and other Microsoft Office products.
