W&A Engineering is a growing, multidisciplinary firm offering civil engineering, landscape architecture, surveying, and program management with offices in Georgia and North Carolina. Known for our innovative design, efficient engineering, and professional service, W&A is the trusted partner of community leaders and developers driving sustainable growth throughout the United States. We are seeking 5+ year experienced civil engineers to join our Athens, GA office. From working with clients and across company departments to site visits to producing plans, you’ll be involved in many aspects of the land development process.

Responsibilities:

  • Site layout, grading, utilities, stormwater management design 
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced collaborative environment with teammates locally and at other office locations
  • Permit coordination and municipal outreach
  • Preparation of site construction documentation, including demolition plans, layout plans, erosion control plans, grading and drainage plans, stormwater management, utilities, site details, transportation improvements, and project cost estimates/analysis
  • Due diligence and site analysis
  • Preparation of engineering or technical computations and preparation of design solutions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, EIT license preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of experience as a project engineering working on production
  • Project experience within either residential, commercial, multifamily, and industrial
  • Knowledge of local municipal, county and state land use, planning and zoning processes and regulations 
  • Team-oriented, with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land Development, Grading, Stormwater Management, Erosion Control, Site Utilities, and Permitting
