Job description

Coho Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager to support Information Technology (IT) initiatives within the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE) at Camp Lejeune, NC. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, monitoring, and closing projects that deliver new or enhanced IT capabilities supporting USSOCOM, Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces. This position works closely with Government stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with established project management best practices.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and close assigned IT projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities with Government stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ensure project objectives align with mission priorities and contractual requirements.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Track project progress and prepare status reports for leadership.
  • Facilitate project meetings and coordinate action items.
  • Support transition of completed projects into operational environments.
  • Maintain project documentation and configuration records.
  • Apply project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance project execution

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Security Clearance
    • Active Top-Secret Clearance required
  • Education and Certification:
    • No degree required
    • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programs
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
