JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Insurance & Risk Management supports the Director in managing primarily the domestic insurance renewal programs for CloudHQ and its affiliated companies. This role ensures operational insurance coverages are maintained and in compliance with companies' contracts.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the domestic annual renewals and mid-term changes for key lines (e.g., general liability, auto, workers compensation, property/builders' risk, umbrella/excess, professional liability, cyber, pollution, and other project-specific coverages as applicable).
  • Coordinate underwriting submissions, exposure data collection, and broker/carrier meetings; prepare clear renewal comparisons and recommendations.
  • Support construction and development teams with project insurance (that includes property, liability, project-specific placements, and lender/owner requirements where applicable).
  • Implement and manage a COI software system to track vendor certificates and ensure compliance.
  • Assist with review of contracts and agreements for insurance and indemnity requirements;
  • Manage claims, report incidents as needed and maintain claims logs and trend reports.
  • Support internal teams with insurance requests for contracts, closings, and project milestones.
  • Provide mentorship support as needed.

Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in risk management, Business, or related field requires. Insurance designation (ARM, CRM, CRIS, CPCU, RIMS-CRMP), preferred.
Required Experience: Eight (8) plus years of experience in insurance and/or risk management with direct experience in a commercial real estate development or construction company.
Preferred Experience: Preference for experience in all commercial insurance lines of coverages (property, liability, automobile, workers compensation, and contractor insurance programs (CIPs) for both Global and Domestic projects.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proactive approach with superior communication and organization skills, including the ability to maintain progress against important deadlines and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Exceptional attention to detail with a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and strong sense of ownership and follow-through regarding work product and task completion. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Excellent customer service orientation, both internally and externally. Strong personal integrity with exceptional ethical standards.
