Job DescriptionOverview

Your role
  • Manage client project team relationships to continue project risk management support.
  • Work with client project teams to gain understanding of projects, interrogate client issued documentation (scope, schedule, estimate).
  • Facilitate risk workshops, ensuring suitable records are kept of discussions.
  • Have an understanding of AACE classes and the implications of each.
  • Input and run schedule modelling software - Safran preferred.
  • Manage creation of slide decks, executive summaries, and full reports for each project - using standard templates, create draft text.
  • QA checks of all documentation prior to issue to client.
  • Draft Risk content for RFPs and develop and update internal risk management training materials.
  • Support internal project risk management and provide advice for best approach strategies for projects and proposals.
  • Be able to interrogate MS Project and P6 in order to recreate a high-level schedule for modelling purposes.
  • Be able to interrogate cost information (usually excel) in order to classify project costs in terms of client, design, contractor costs, and extract contingency.
  • Be able to use @Risk to generate cost model information, creation of modellings for various scenarios.
  • Maintain & regularly update internal processes, procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent business approach and alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Generate risk management opportunities with external clients.
  • Manage multiple project workloads concurrently, able to prioritize work.
  • Workshops may be virtual or travel to client required location.
About you
  • University Degree in Engineering or Construction or related education and combined experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years related experience in a Design/Construction environment paired with a minimum of 5 years' experience in risk modelling.
  • Proficient with Primavera P6 - creation of projects from scratch is essential.
  • Proficient with Risk modelling software - @Risk is essential.
  • Prescient with risk software is desired - Safran, PRC, ARM.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while balancing and prioritizing workloads.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingual French/English is a strong asset.

*This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as more than 80% of the workload is intended for clients, partners, or projects located outside Quebec
