Job description

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the full life cycle of signage projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to established quality standards.

This role manages projects ranging from single-site signage installations to large, complex, and multi-phase deployments. The Project Manager collaborates with clients, internal teams, installers, and contractors, balancing office-based coordination with on-site project support when required.

The role serves as a primary liaison between clients, sales, production, and subcontractors, leveraging a strong understanding of construction practices and jobsite logistics to drive successful project execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of signage projects ranging from standard single-site installations to larger, complex, or multi-site rollouts.

  • Serve as a field liaison when needed, supporting sequencing, issue resolution, and vendor coordination.

  • Manage all aspects of pre-sale and post-sale project support, including planning, scheduling, documentation, and budget tracking.

  • Attend client and contractor meetings, including onsite meetings when required, to ensure project alignment with field conditions.

  • Organize and lead project meetings, including kickoffs, reviews, and work-in-progress updates.

  • Coordinate permitting, engineering, surveys, site visits, subcontractor activities, and vendor logistics.

  • Oversee installation activities, including field walkthroughs, punch list management, and quality control.

  • Prepare and manage work orders and complete technical review and release processes with design and operations teams.

  • Maintain accurate, real-time project tracking within project management systems.

  • Communicate regularly with operations and scheduling teams to align timelines, materials readiness, and site coordination.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in signage, construction, or another project-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, phases, and vendors.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, jobsite operations, and subcontractor coordination.

  • Comfortable working in both office and active jobsite environments, with willingness to travel as project needs require.

  • Strong communication, leadership, organization, and time management skills.

  • Familiarity with permitting, engineering drawings, ADA compliance, and installation planning.

  • Experience using project management software or ERP/project tracking systems.

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong attention to detail and accountability for project outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience across the full signage project lifecycle, including fabrication, permitting, installation, and field execution.

  • Knowledge of site logistics and resource planning, including lifts, cranes, access requirements, and safety considerations.

  • Experience conducting field walkthroughs, punch list management, and installation oversight.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

  • Ability to bridge office planning with onsite execution and maintain clear communication across teams.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Primarily office-based role with occasional travel to project sites as required.

  • Comfortable working in both office and construction environments.

  • Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and perform field-related activities preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. when necessary.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

  • Ability to alternate between desk-based work and field activity regularly.
