rhi is recruiting for 2x experienced Materials Management Advisors to join our clients team based in Houma, LA on a contract basis.

1x Materials Management Advisor - Materials Coordination & Integration

Preferred Background:

  • Experienced Materials Management Lead.
  • Previous leadership experience managing:
    • Material Coordinators
    • Material Integration Specialists
  • Strong understanding of oil & gas materials management processes.

Key Focus:

  • Stakeholder management.
  • Team leadership and coordination.
  • Warehouse and materials integration activities.
  • Operational materials management support.

1x Materials Management Advisor - TAR & Projects / MRO / Consignment

Preferred Background:

  • Experienced Materials Management Specialist.
  • Strong project-related materials management experience.

Key Focus:

  • Supporting turnaround (TAR) and project activities.
  • Working with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Establishing and managing consignment stock.
  • Project-focused materials management rather than day-to-day operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with all operating functions and entities to capture material demand and coordinate the supply of materials with procurement and MM teams to meet the business requirements in effective and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for the use and application of demand planning and coordination tools and techniques to support and improve demand planning and scheduling processes. 
  • The MC Advisor is responsible to identify, communicate and prioritize risk mitigation activities related to Material Demand Planning and Coordination.
  • Management of MM Service providersโ€™ performance in accordance with agreed scope of service.
  • Develop measures and monitor annual performance and resource plan for the team, ensuring that all enablers required are available to deliver the strategy.
  • Support identification of excess and surplus inventory
  • Provide strategic direction to team, align team activities to procurement and stakeholder priorities, empower team members to develop plans and execute.

About you:

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or other relevant technical discipline.
  • MM related process and systems knowledge and/or hands-on experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and various reporting tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills effective communication, and ability to work effectively within a functional matrix organization and influence leadership and operating function stakeholders.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Strong commercial skills and ability to make effective decisions based on economics in the best interest of the company.
  • Understanding of equipment and materials employed in energy business.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, inventory modelling techniques or inventory accounting.
  • Field experience working and/or supporting inventory control, warehouse, and/or inbound logistics in the oil and gas sector or other industries.
