What a day at EXP has in store for you

ย  Lead the development, update, and maintenance of Level 1-4 integrated schedules, including milestones, logic, resource loading, cost loading, baseline management, critical path analysis, and schedule recovery planning.

ย  Manage schedule governance across assigned projects, including schedule quality reviews, contractor schedule validation, progress measurement, and alignment with project objectives, budgets, forecasts, and delivery commitments.

ย  Lead schedule variance analysis, trend reporting, and delay / impact assessments, and work with project teams to develop practical mitigation plans that support on-time delivery.

ย  Oversee weekly and monthly schedule reporting for project leadership and clients, using clear dashboards, narrative updates, and performance insights to communicate risk, progress, and forecast outcomes.

ย  Lead the monthly progress and performance measurement process using Earned Value Management (EVM), including planning reports for project management, executive review, and client meetings.

ย  Hold project teams accountable for progress commitments and influence cross-functional teams to drive completion of activities, milestones, and recovery actions.

ย  Provide planning and scheduling input into proposals, bids, project execution plans, commercial strategies, and project controls staffing plans.

ย  Partner with Project Managers, Project Controls Managers, commercial teams, and clients to clarify planning requirements, reporting needs, schedule risks, and change management impacts.

ย  Ensure change management processes are followed so schedule and cost impacts are identified, quantified, documented, and reflected in project forecasts and Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates.

ย  Support or lead schedule-related Project Assurance activities, including Cost and Schedule Risk Assessments (CSRA), schedule health checks, and recovery planning workshops.

ย  Develop, mentor, and support planners / schedulers, including workload planning, technical coaching, quality control, and consistent use of project controls procedures and best practices.

ย  Contribute to continuous improvement of planning procedures, reporting standards, WBS / CBS structures, schedule templates, and project controls tools.

ย  Maintain compliance with applicable policies, procedures, client requirements, and company standards.

What your experience looks like

ย  15+ years of progressive planning / scheduling and project controls experience on small to large infrastructure, transportation, buildings, or complex capital projects.

ย  Strong leadership experience managing planning deliverables, coordinating project controls teams, and supporting project managers and clients in a deadline-driven environment.

ย  Expert-level Primavera P6 capability, including resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules, re-baselines, CPM analysis, scope changes, schedule updates, and quality reviews.

ย  Strong understanding of WBS, CBS, Earned Value Management, progress measurement, forecasting, change management, delay analysis, and project reporting.

ย  Ability to translate schedule data into clear, practical insights for project teams, senior leadership, and client representatives.

ย  Experience reviewing contractor schedules and validating integrated, detailed schedules against contract requirements and project objectives.

ย  Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Power BI or other reporting / dashboard tools is considered an asset.

ย  Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams that do not directly report to you.

ย  Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

ย  Professional designation, diploma, or degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field is considered an asset.
