Based in Fall River, Massachusetts, RUSSCO performs 70% of work outside of New England extending to projects in over 35 states. Starting as a family business, RUSSCO is known for genuine customer service from a hands-on approach the extends to all subcontractors.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager’s responsibility is to support client directly through all phases of construction; communicate directly with clients, subcontractors, and office staff in all phases of construction; work directly with Project Superintendents/Supervisors and subcontractors to make certain work is executed per scope agreed upon and to the highest standard; and makes certain that jobs are and remain on schedule with all expectations met. The role is also required to provide and promote RUSSCO’s interests in all matters relating to the project.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• To provide leadership and to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships of the on-site staff and to promote a positive project morale.

• Working with Bid and Estimating team prior to construction beginning to find Subcontractors.

• Working with office team and Assistant Project Manager(s) to provide necessary Subcontractor information and scope of agreed upon work for legal contracts for each job.

• To have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the General Contract, each Subcontract, the contract drawings, specifications and addenda, and to assist the Project Manager(s) in the development of the on-site procedures.

• Develop and refine the Project Schedule, keep schedules properly updates, and see that the job meets various required dates.

• Plan and review the Construction Program including quality control procedures, safety and security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment and manpower.

• Overseeing job and making certain work is on schedule.

• Meeting with clients for on-site walk throughs.

• Leading and participating in conference calls internally with team and externally with

clients.

• Fielding any and all communication of challenges and/or successes to Leadership, Clients,

office staff, etc. as necessary.

• Creating, communicating, and/or submitting legal documents to building departments,

inspectors, etc.

• To maintain good relations and communications with all involved in the project including

the public.

 Qualifications include but not limited to:

• Strong team player abilities and experience, with the ability to coordinate work on multiple facets of a project.

• An understanding of construction means and methods associated with the renovation and construction of retail/interior buildings and site-work related thereto.

• Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other software used in the construction industry.

• A “Push” personality - biased toward action - constantly striving to be the best.

• Excellent planning, communication, and analytic skills.

• Desired experience in the areas of retail and/or restaurant and/or other high-end

construction in the capacity of a general contractor and/or Owner’s Rep and/or

Consultant (engineer, architect, etc)
