Job description

Job Title: Scrum Master
Job Location: Carlsbad, CA
Duration: 8+Months
Employment Type: FTE Referral or C2H
Job Responsibilities:
  • Communication, Change Management and Training
  • Ensure co-ordination with Scrum team and product owner on a daily basis throughout the sprint for clear and concise product backlog items
  • Work closely with the product owner on how to arrange the product backlog to maximize value and develop a roll out strategy
  • Facilitate Scrum events as requested or needed by the management team
  • Remove impediments to the development team's progress and ensure sprints are executed on time with low risk delivery
  • Coach the development team for self-organization and cross-functionality in organizational environments in which Scrum and Agile are not yet fully adopted and understood
  • Prepare and manage sprint teams
  • Plan Scrum implementations within the organization and ensure success
  • Enable change that increases the productivity of the Scrum team to be able to focus on delivery of the sprints as per the plan

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 8+ years with end to end IT Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management or Enterprise Project/Application Portfolio Management solutions
  • 4-6 Years of using Scrum with Agile methodology - must be Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience training and managing sprint teams
  • 7+ years working in a client facing role
  • Pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry experience
  • Ability to lead retrospectives, document outcomes and steer team members in Agile best practices
  • Must have excellent communication and mentoring skills and possess the ability to adapt, be flexible, and work well in a cross-functional environment
  • Should be passionate about championing the customer
