Job description


Position Overview
This position provides support for the success of the volleyball program. Primary duties are coaching, skill development, recruiting, academic monitoring and development of positive team culture.
Responsibilities
  • Manage travel day to day as assigned
  • Assist in the development and execution of travel itineraries
  • Contribute to positive team culture
  • Identify, evaluate and recruit students that can succeed at Butler both academically and athletically
  • Build and cultivate relationships with scholastic and non-scholastic coaches
  • Assist with teaching and coaching in team and individual settings
  • Game preparation via game and practice planning and film review

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Collegiate coaching or playing experience. Knowledge of NCAA Division I, Big East rules and regulations
  • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff.
  • Outstanding verbal communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Collegiate coaching experience
  • Professional playing experience
  • Experience with community service projects
