Base Compensation Range: $116,750.00 - $146,000.00
*In addition, you qualify for:

  • Annual bonus opportunity of 15% based on company performance

      Job Summary

      The Manager, Quality Control is responsible for leading and managing the quality control function within Company. This role involves developing and implementing quality control strategies, overseeing the quality of products and processes, managing a team of quality control professionals, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

      Duties/Responsibilities

      • Leadership and Team Management: 
        • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality control team, ensuring effective performance and professional growth. 
        • Establish clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance evaluations. 
        • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team. 
      • Quality Control Processes: 
        • Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies in alignment with industry standards and regulations. 
        • Oversee the execution of quality control testing and inspections, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 
        • Analyze quality control data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. 
      • Regulatory Compliance: 
        • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.) and internal quality standards. 
        • Prepare and manage documentation for audits, inspections, and quality assessments. 
        • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to policies and procedures. 
      • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
        • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the manufacturing process. 
        • Act as a liaison between quality control and other departments to communicate quality-related issues and solutions. 
      • Continuous Improvement: 
        • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. 
        • Facilitate root cause analysis for non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions. 
      • Training and Development: 
        • Develop and deliver training programs for quality control staff and other relevant stakeholders. 
        • Foster a strong understanding of quality principles and best practices across the organization. 
      • Budget and Resource Management: 
        • Manage the quality control budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for personnel, tools, and technologies. 
        • Optimize laboratory and testing facilities to ensure efficient quality control operations. 

      Experience/Education

      • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Control, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. 
      • Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in Quality Control or related field with 2 - 3 years of management experience, leading teams or project management. 

      Knowledge and Skillsets Required

      • Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean). 
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. 
      • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments. 
      • Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite. 

      Physical Demands:

      • Sitting: Often for extended periods at desks or meetings.
