Job description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for Sea-Doo team. You will be able to make a difference by being directly linked to the success of the company through innovation and the continuous improvement of our accessories offer.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Develop accessories for our current and future marine vehicles, including our Sea-Doo line of personal watercraft and pontoon.

  • Evolve projects from initial concepts to production;

  • Influence the vision that guides the integration of accessories on new platforms to come;

  • Collaborate with design, marketing, purchasing, quality assurance, vehicle group, and suppliers in the various stages of the product development process;

  • Participate in the establishment of performance criteria, establish validation plans for each accessory and ensure their execution;

  • Test prototypes in real conditions of use (in Canada and the USA)

  • Conduct studies, analyses and calculations in order to guide, using general and specific technical parameters, design technicians and project developers in their work.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;

  • Fluent in English and French (written and spoken). English is required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec or unilingual English on a daily basis;

  • Knowledge of mechanical principles, tolerancing and strength of materials;

  • Familiarity with the various principles of operation and construction of the mechanical systems of a motorized vehicle;

  • Ability to implement predictive calculation tools;

  • Proven project management skills;

  • Be available for occasional travel to our various manufacturing sites;
