Project Architect / Project Manager | Saratoga Springs, New York

We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Project Architect / Project Manager to join a collaborative and design-driven architecture team. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect who enjoys leading projects, mentoring teams, and shaping thoughtful, well-crafted environments.

The team specializes in custom single-family residences, mixed-use multifamily developments, and commercial projects, offering the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio while contributing to meaningful, design-forward work. Their studio culture is inclusive, collaborative, empathetic, rewarding, and respectful, a place where strong ideas are welcomed, team members support one another, and creativity is encouraged throughout every phase of a project.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a design-minded architect and project leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing projects from concept through construction. You will play a central role in organizing project teams, ensuring quality design delivery, and maintaining momentum across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate brings both creative design sensibility and technical strength, allowing them to guide junior team members while ensuring projects remain aligned with schedule, budget, and the client’s vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and guide project team efforts to ensure efficient and high‑quality delivery
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and fees across multiple assignments
  • Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and internal team members
  • Oversee project design, documentation, and construction administration phases
  • Maintain ownership and accountability for overall project and program success
  • Mentor and support junior team members while fostering a positive and energetic workflow
  • Apply and evolve the firm’s processes and procedures to improve project delivery
  • Champion thoughtful design and uphold the design vision on every project
Qualifications
  • Professional degree required (B.Arch or M.Arch)
  • 7+ years of professional experience in an architecture firm after completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Experience working on single-family residential, multifamily residential, and/or commercial projects
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience leading teams and coordinating projects
  • Software proficiency in REVIT
  • Strong design sensibility with a passion for creating innovative, functional, and visually compelling spaces
  • Exceptional knowledge of construction documentation and technical detailing
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to problem‑solve and adapt to shifting project priorities
Why This Role

This is a chance to join a thoughtful and supportive architectural team where your leadership and creativity will directly influence the quality of the built environment. You’ll work on impactful residential and mixed‑use projects while collaborating with a team that values respect, creativity, and shared success.

If you’re an experienced architect who enjoys leading teams, solving complex design challenges, and delivering exceptional projects, we encourage you to apply.
