Join the Coalition team to work with the leading owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors to build some of the most iconic custom facades across the Western United States.Coalition Glass is a complementary offering to Enclos, providing glazing and cladding solutions for a wide range of project sizes while maintaining the highest standard of quality, detail, and execution. Our current offerings are design adaptations, procurement, and installation in the Western United States and Hawaii - with plans for expansion into the Eastern U.S. in the coming years.OverviewResponsible for managing total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This position may have direct supervision of various sub-contractors. Will be responsible for effective high level of communication with vendors, architects, owners, GCs and the trades.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinates the post-sale design development process, keeping the architect and consultant satisfied and at the same time enhancing the profitability of the project and decreasing/controlling risk.With assistance of GM, sales, and legal, analyzes all contract documents and propose additions and deletions to contract documents in order to manage risk and make job more profitable and easier to manage.Demonstrates systematic commitment to all job set-up best practices, fostering close collaboration and communication between all team members. Plays effective role in Means and Methods development and revision.Determines necessary roles and responsibilities for a successful job, assess the assets of team members, make clear assignments of responsibilities and consistently follows up.Engages in the comprehensive analysis and "break-up" of project into all required buy-Satisfactorily performs the responsibilities of mock-up captain and identifies Plays effective role in coordinating and solving problems that require the input of groups outside of engineering.Optimizes between factors affecting timing, engineering cost, quality, erectability, and ease of assembly and fabrication.Can satisfactorily handle complete buy-out of a major vendor, including additional responsibilities of assembling RFP's, scoping out the bids, completing purchase orders, and overseeing all vendor shop drawing process.Ability to instruct and manage APM or PC performing their components of this process.Understands in sequence testing protocol.Demonstrates ability with oversight to create or assist in creation of initial Enclos baseline schedule.Demonstrates ability to manage schedule update process, ensuring all required documentation happens and that schedule is used as a management tool.Demonstrates ability with oversight to create or assist in creation of master rollout and with oversight to maintain project P&L.Can create initial roll-out which does not differ significantly from final roll-out approved by supervisor.Review of monthly costs, schedule of values should be set up to maximize cashflow and promote retainage reduction.Can assume responsibility for material management to assure that materials are delivered to the site in a timely fashion, in the manner field staff requires, and of the quality that complies with the project-specific quality control program.Can assume responsibility for accurately maintaining field labor tracking process (with set-up by someone else.)Optimizes opportunities and exhibits good salesmanship to close out change orders, should give constructive information versus combative.Sets up and overseas maintenance of field labor tracking.Ensures material management process particular to project needs is in place and is followed so that materials are delivered to the site in a timely fashion, in manner field staff requires, and of the quality that complies with the project-specific quality control program.Ensures accurate field, shop, and vendor QA/QC programs are in place and oversees QA/QC documentation.Demonstrates capability to oversee timely and fair punch list completion, resolve all "routine" change orders, timely delivery through close out submittals, leaves customer with a positive view of Enclos.RequirementsOur ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in Construction Management preferred. A minimum of eight or more years related curtainwall construction experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Expertise must include all phases of the curtainwall business, including, but not limited to, blue print reading, metal, glass, design, engineering, fabrication, curtainwall systems, and field and installation procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Projects) and Project Management Software (for job costing, billing and labor control).Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
