Job description

DESCRIPTION  

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are organized, timely, and profitable. This includes, but is not limited to, project leadership, client management, schedule ownership, financial performance, scope & change management, site visits, and pay application reviews. The Project Manager will work closely with our engineering team, manufacturing team, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead assigned projects from contract award through final closeout, maintaining accountability for project scope, schedule, financial performance, quality, and client satisfaction. 
  • Serve as the primary project-level contact for clients, contractors, project stakeholders, and internal leadership, maintaining clear communication and resolving issues as they arise. 
  • Develop, maintain, and own project schedules, establishing milestones, identifying schedule risks, and taking corrective action to maintain project commitments. 
  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, costs, forecasts, billing, pay applications, and overall project profitability. 
  • Review and approve project proposals, agreements, change orders, and other commercial documentation, ensuring proper scope, pricing, execution, and follow-through. 
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage changes to project scope, including coordinating change order pricing, approvals, and implementation. 
  • Coordinate project execution across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Installation, and other internal teams to ensure work is aligned with project requirements and schedule. 
  • Conduct project site visits and document client feedback as required to evaluate progress, quality, site conditions, and project requirements, and coordinate resolution of identified issues. 
  • Monitor project quality and performance throughout execution, ensuring company standards, project requirements, and contractual obligations are met. 
  • Identify and manage project risks related to scope, schedule, cost, quality, procurement, fabrication, installation, and client requirements. 
  • Provide direction, accountability, and support to project team members while ensuring responsibilities, deadlines, and deliverables are clearly understood. 
  • Communicate project status, financial performance, risks, and critical decisions to company leadership. 
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, employees, leadership, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders. 
  • Drive project closeout, ensuring outstanding work, documentation, billing, punch list items, and financial requirements are completed. 
     

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS 

  • 5+ years of relevant construction experience is required 
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills 
  • Bluebeam knowledge preferred 
  • Estimating software experience preferred 
  • Ability to efficiently read and navigate architectural and structural design drawings 
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills 
  • Must be able to prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines while handling multiple tasks  
  • Ability to lead and organize a team in person and remotely with minimal direction 
  • Superior attention to detail, organization, and time management skills 
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate reports and directives
