Role Overview

IGT, where innovation meets entertainment on a global scale! Powered by worldclass content and a culture of collaboration, accountability, and ownership, we turn innovation into impact through disciplined execution and longterm value creation.

The Project Manager (Studio Operations & Systems) III is part of the Global Studio Support / Portfolio Team and partners with game studios, projectmanagement teams, and leadership to improve project visibility, planning discipline, and operational effectiveness across a portfolio of 100+ games spanning 15 global studios. This role owns the systems, data, and cross functional coordination that let many studios and projects operate successfully connecting studio needs with enterprise planning, financial, staffing, and projectmanagement practices.

This is a handson, buildoriented role at its core. The ideal candidate brings structure to ambiguous problems, works directly in systems such as Clarity PPM and Airtable, and designs practical solutions the organization can adopt and maintain while staying close enough to studios to ensure those tools solve real operational problems. At the III level, this person handles moderately complex studios and product lines independently and the most complex with guidance, and mentors lowerlevel Portfolio PMs.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and iterate on operational solutions in Airtable, Clarity PPM, Excel, and reporting tools-turning ambiguous needs into practical workflows, data structures, dashboards, and automations that reduce manual entry.
Create and configure projects in Clarity PPM-structures, budgets, cost plans, roles, milestones, and time charging structures-then validate setup, financials, and documentation before handing off to the studio project manager and coaching them on ongoing system use.
Build and maintain Waterline capacity analyses and scenario models that give studio heads role level visibility of planned vs. current headcount and simulate the impact of date shifts, estimate changes, and cancellations.
Reconcile information across Clarity PPM, Airtable, spreadsheets, and reporting tools; identify data gaps, sync mismatches, unmapped work, and missing assumptions that affect portfolio reporting.
Develop reusable templates, standards, documentation, and training that improve consistency across studios, and support adoption of new workflows and tools.
Support semiannual roadmap planning sessions by gathering, entering, validating, and maintaining long range project and portfolio information, and translating studio roadmaps into structured portfolio views for prioritization, capacity, and investment decisions.
Maintain project budgets, forecasts, staffing, and planning data as assumptions change; support labor/non labor forecasting, EAC discussions, and capitalization compliant time charging for Finance (depreciation, R&D tax credit).
Collect, analyze, and report on cost, milestone variance, cycle time, utilization, and other portfolio KPIs; deliver executive dashboards and trend analysis.
Track portfolio level risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and decisions, and coordinate follow up with the appropriate owners.
Serve as a trusted operational partner-making constraints visible and decisions informed-while respecting studio specific processes, cultures, and delivery ownership.
Support additional portfolio, reporting, staffing, financial planning, or systems initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience building and implementing operational solutions using Airtable, low code/no code platforms, BI tools, spreadsheets, or databases.
Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business or operational needs into practical workflows, data structures, dashboards, automations, and configurations.
Experience managing projects, programs, portfolios, or enterprise planning initiatives in a matrixed environment.
Experience with project budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and capacity data.
Experience collecting, validating, reconciling, and reporting across multiple systems.
Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills; able to explain complex financial or system information to technical and non technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands on Airtable base, interface, and automation design.
Clarity PPM (or comparable PPM) experience; support of long range/semiannual planning cycles.
Excel Power Query/DAX or comparable reporting and data integration skills.
3-6 years managing projects/portfolios and leading teams.
Experience in game development, entertainment, or other complex project based organizations.
Financial planning, resource management, or project controls exposure.
PMP, PMI ACP, Agile, or Scrum certification.

Skills & Attributes

Hands on builder who enjoys exploring system capabilities and improving workflows.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills; curious and comfortable learning new tools independently.
Balances speed, quality, scalability, and maintainability with sound judgment.
Moves fluidly between strategic portfolio conversations and detailed system configuration.
Collaborative; influences without direct authority and challenges assumptions respectfully to improve data quality.
Adaptable to different studio needs while maintaining appropriate standards.

Skills Development

Business & Role:

Develop knowledge of IGT/Everi product lines, cost studies, and the four formal development stage gates.
Build understanding of how projects are structured, budgeted, and time charged in Clarity PPM, and how that data supports portfolio planning.
Strengthen working knowledge of IGT financial management processes, including capitalization compliance, depreciation, and R&D tax credit reporting.
Develop familiarity with the operational data across studios-milestones, forecasts, staffing, and utilization-that drives capacity and scenario planning.

Tools & Technical:

Build depth in Airtable as the team's operational hub, including base design, linked data structures, interfaces, and automations.
Strengthen proficiency in Clarity PPM project setup, validation, and financial configuration.
Develop advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX, for reporting, trend analysis, and data reconciliation.
Learn the team's integrated tool ecosystem and how data flows across systems to support scalable reporting and self service.

Soft Skills:

Develop the ability to clearly articulate constraints, scenarios, and portfolio status to studio leadership and executives, with oversight as needed.
Strengthen stakeholder partnership skills, including influencing without direct authority and challenging assumptions respectfully to improve data quality.
Support lower level Portfolio PMs by providing time, guidance, and assistance.
Build proficiency in translating ambiguous business needs into structured, adoptable solutions.

Industry & Market:
Research the gaming industry and studio landscape to understand how portfolio decisions align with market and product requirements.
Identify gaming industry trends and their potential impact on current or historical development projects.
Strengthen knowledge of gaming regulatory requirements and changes to applicable regulations.
