A day in the life:

  • Lead all aspects of mechanical construction projects, including budget, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in bid reviews and evaluate project risks to support go/no-go decisions
  • Manage project setup, buyout activities, and procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field teams, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
  • Lead WIP reviews, maintain project financial forecasts, and provide regular cost and status updates
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, facilitating project meetings and communicating schedule and budget updates
  • Support payroll approval, permitting, and project administration activities
  • Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety meetings and initiatives
  • Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure quality installation and timely completion

You should have:

  • A minimum of five years of commercial/industrial project management experience
  • Experience with hands-on management of mechanical projects, ideal experience working across several projects
  • Ability to manage continuous flow of material and labor for large projects lasting a year or more
  • Recent experience as PM for a mechanical contractor/subcontractor. (Not Owner's Agent or Consultant or GC)
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Ability to use current technology (i.e., laptop computer, tablet, smartphone, Microsoft Teams)
  • Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to demonstrate foresight and problem-solving skills to make sound business decisions
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
