We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to manage and oversee all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.
Position Overview:
• Manage and oversee all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.
• Overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing and outside vendors, and contractual deliverable.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
• Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards.
• Review quality assurance procedures, test plans, and strategies.
• Minimize our exposure and risk on project.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
• Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis.
• Manage project budget.
• Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for projects.
• Work in conjunction with leadership to ensure projects are in scope.
• Provide support and coaching to emerging managers.
• Lead daily and weekly touchpoint meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Monitor project KPIs.
• Collaborate closely with the clients during UAT testing to identify, log, and address findings in a timely matter and according to project needs.
• Partial telecommuting permitted 2 days per week from within the Duluth, GA MSA.
Education and Experience:
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field of study.
• Must have four (4) years of experience as an IT Project Manager, Project Engineer, Technology Delivery Manager, or closely related position.
• The four (4) years of experience must have included experience with application programming, database, and system design, including: Project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence; Software such as Microsoft Suite and Bamboo; Development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall; and Experience with technologies such as APIs, Cloud Services, Network infrastructure & architecture, CI/CD pipelines.
