OPERATIONS MANAGER – Behavioral Health Ambulance

Are you a strong operational leader who is passionate about behavioral healthcare and making a difference in the lives of others? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our team and help ensure our daily operations support safe, efficient, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The Operations Manager provides hands-on leadership and oversight of day-to-day operational activities within our organization. This individual will partner closely with leadership, Human Resources, and other departments to ensure operational excellence, appropriate staffing, regulatory compliance, employee accountability, and exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee daily facility and/or operational activities to ensure efficient service delivery.

· Partner with leaders to support safe, high-quality behavioral health services.

· Monitor staffing needs, scheduling, attendance, productivity, and operational coverage.

· Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to assigned team members.

· Assist with employee onboarding, training, engagement, and retention initiatives.

· Ensure employees follow organizational policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.

· Monitor key performance indicators and recommend opportunities for improvement.

· Support incident response, risk management, and corrective action initiatives.

· Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee relations, performance management, and workforce needs.

· Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, accountability, respect, and exceptional customer service.

· Participate in leadership meetings and organizational improvement initiatives.

· Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys, audits, and compliance reviews.

· Perform additional operational responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Behavioral Health, Human Services, Management, or a related field required.

· Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive operations or management experience, preferably in behavioral health, healthcare, EMS, patient transportation, or a related environment.

· Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory or leadership experience required.

· Demonstrated experience managing daily operations, staffing, employee performance, and process improvement.

· Knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient safety, HIPAA, and compliance standards preferred.

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn HRIS, scheduling, and operational systems.

· Equivalent combinations of relevant education and directly related healthcare leadership experience may be considered where appropriate.
